Who is Caroline Persaud?

My name is Caroline Persaud, I am a qualified Clinical Dental Technician (CDT) who is registered with and governed by the General Dental Council.

CPP Denture Studio has been established over 10 years. Prior to the launch of my clinic, I trained with a fellow CDT after achieving a BSc honours degree in Dental Technology. Ultimately, I have 14 years experience and knowledge of dental appliances.

Over the last ten years, CPP Denture Studio has worked in conjunction with many Dental Surgeries in both North London and Buckinghamshire. Accordingly, my patients have a choice of locations to be treated.

Currently, I consult in three dental surgeries.

  • Southgate Smiles (Southgate)
  • Brightside Dental Surgery (Bounds Green)
  • Market House Dental Practice (Chalfont St. Peter)

Home Visits: For those who prefer or may have difficulty getting to one of my surgeries, the home visit service is available within the Borough of Enfield and South Buckinghamshire plus parts of West London at no cost. Should you live outside these areas then a small charge will be incurred depending upon travel distance.

Should my patients require any other dental treatment, beyond my scope, I have suitable dentists to examine and advise you of your options.

Alongside my surgery based work, my dental laboratory is based in Buckinghamshire where immediate work, such as denture repairs, can be undertaken.

Products & Services

CPP Denture Studio strives to achieve consistently high standards of clinical and technical work. Whether this involves denture repairs, the replacement of an existing denture or the construction of dentures for a first time wearer; the use of modern denture construction techniques are explored to match each individual case. Should your exiting denture need repair or if you decide to book an initial consultation with Caroline, she will undertake a thorough examination which will enable her to advise on a course of treatment. Various types of material are available nowadays such as

The most commonly used material, consisting of a 'pinky-plastic' appearance. This material can be provided in various shades as well as various degrees of strength and durability. Mesh and metal bar strengtheners can also be incorporated .

These are an alternative to the standard acrylic material. The benefits of these denture bases are that they are thinner and less invasive in the mouth. These structures are far more likely to form the base of partial dentures (where prescribed)

These are constructed from a nylon-based material and are more flexible than acrylic and may provide better denture retention for suitable patients such as those with Acrylic or Chrome allergies.

These are predominantly added to the lower denture to provide a softer cushioned contact against resorbed ridges that have been prone to persistent sores due to movement of the lower denture during function.

In some cases patients are very happy with the look and fit of existing dentures, although the function may have deteriorated over time. Improvements can be made to the biting ability whilst aiming to mirror the appearance and feel you are accustomed to.

Also known as overdentures, this type of denture can make the difference between a lose denture base that moves when eating or even speaking and a stable denture base that 'clicks' onto implanted fixtures. These should no longer shift against the gums or require denture fixative to remain stable.
