My Services

CPP Denture Studio strives to achieve consistently high standards of clinical and technical work. Whether this involves the replacement of an existing denture, or the construction of dentures for a first time wearer,  the use of modern denture construction techniques are explored to match each individual case.

Should you decide to book an initial consultation with Caroline, she will undertake a thorough examination which will enable her to advise on a course of treatment. Various types of material are available nowadays such as:

The most commonly used material, consisting of a 'pinky-plastic' appearance. This material can be provided in various shades as well as various degrees of strength and durability. Mesh and metal bar strengtheners can also be incorporated .

These are an alternative to the standard acrylic material. The benefits of these denture bases are that they are thinner and less invasive in the mouth. These structures are far more likely to form the base of partial dentures (where prescribed)

These are constructed from a nylon-based material and are more flexible than acrylic and may provide better denture retention for suitable patients such as those with Acrylic or Chrome allergies.

These are predominantly added to the lower denture to provide a softer cushioned contact against resorbed ridges that have been prone to persistent sores due to movement of the lower denture during function.

In some cases patients are very happy with the look and fit of existing dentures, although the function may have deteriorated over time. Improvements can be made to the biting ability whilst aiming to mirror the appearance and feel you are accustomed to.

Also known as overdentures, this type of denture can make the difference between a lose denture base that moves when eating or even speaking and a stable denture base that 'clicks' onto implanted fixtures. These should no longer shift against the gums or require denture fixative to remain stable.

Also, there are various tooth brands that vary in quality, shape and size which will be carefully selected with you based upon the shape of your face, your smile and skin tone.

Together with Caroline you will discuss the treatment options and she will guide you through the type of dentures that will best suit your needs and your budget.

There is no obligation at your initial appointment, it is a completely free consultation for you to gain an insight in to your denture options.
